History[]

Background[]

She went to the same fire academy as Blake Gallo, the pair always competing with one another. Before relocating to Firehouse 51, she was the Paramedic In Charge for Ambulance 99 at Firehouse 20.

In the Series[]

She is introduced in Hold Our Ground, where she berates Gallo for not following proper protocol in a car crash. They repeatedly argue with the others noting their obvious attraction to one another and seeing their fights as flirting. At the end of the episode, Violet approaches Gallo and they have sex.

They continue their fling in Where We End Up after 51 is forced to share quarters with her firehouse. She ran the Chicago Half Marathon with Gallo.

During Then Nick Porter Happened, the two start a relationship and Gallo states they are preparing for a date.

In Shut It Down, she buys Gallo a Fitbit and shows she is still competitive with him, despite their relationship.

Gallo later tells Violet that he wants a non-exclusive relationship, something that she is okay with.

In 51's Original Bell, Violet goes out with another man, with a jealous Gallo messaging her repeatedly. She confronts him, mentioning his previous statement. She argues with him, surprised that he wants to be on a first name basis now. She calmly complies and asks what he wants, and he states he was wrong and wants to be with her. Violet is taken aback by this abrupt request, but leaves after he makes an impromptu marriage proposal. The other firefighters question an embarrassed Gallo, asking what he was thinking.

At the end of Double Red, Gianna Mackey is approved to transfer out of Firehouse 51. Following this announcement, Violet walks into the firehouse, and tells Darren Ritter and Blake Gallo that Wallace Boden asked her to come in to talk about something.

In One Crazy Shift, she subbed for a shift in Firehouse 51, for which Brett asked personally. At the end of the shift, Brett asked her to transfer to 51, which she immediately agreed to since she felt Brett and her made a great team. She informed Gallo and Ritter about her transfer at the end of the episode.

During A Couple Hundred Degrees, she and the squad respond to a call in which a man breaks his leg falling downstairs at a bakery and a bystander keeps pressing for his condition. Violet later gets a message address to her about how the incident was no accident. She is confused about why she was sent the message, as Brett theorizes someone present likely heard her name and saw her answer. Later on, they soon discover that someone is trying to put the victim out of business and likely attacked him. They also discover a rivalry with the bakery owner and victim that might be motive. When the victim has another accident, Violet and Brett bring in Adam Ruzek to confirm their suspicions. At Med, they see the man's wife and the bakery owner show up. Seeing the cops, the bakery owner wants to leave but Adam stops him and wants to interrogate him on his possible role. However, he is proven innocent when he addresses Violet who realizes he sent the letter and he says that the wife did it because she previously told him that her husband wouldn't be problem. Violet tells Adam to test the muffin and coffee so they'll get answers, which is confirmed by there being poison in the coffee.

Mikami is awarded with the Clinical Resuscitation Award in Fog of War for resuscitating a newborn in Back with a Bang.

In Show of Force, Violet attends the CFD Gala when she is invited. She shares a kiss with Evan Hawkins while at the event. In Fire Cop, they officially start a relationship.

In Completely Shattered after dating for months, Evan is killed in a building collapse, devastating Violet.

In Port in the Storm she finds out her official promotion to PIC went through, and her first shift the new Ambo 61 PIC happens in Red Flag.
