Megan Shay is the sister of Leslie Shay. She was portrayed by Ellen Woglom.
Biography[]
Megan comes to visit Chicago in the episode Three Bells after it has become clear that her sister Leslie's death was not an accident but a case of arson. After her prospective hotel loses her reservation, she stays with roommates Sylvie Brett and Gabriela Dawson, and they reminisce about Leslie.
Megan gets a wake-up call when she goes on a ride along in Ambulance 61 with Sylvie and Peter Mills and a mentally unstable patient threatens Sylvie with a knife. Megan is distraught at realizing what Leslie's day job was like and how she never mentioned any of the hardship to her, electing to make jokes instead. Gabriela and Peter reassure Megan that that is just how Leslie was: she never wanted anyone to waste time worrying about her, she just wanted to make everyone smile. Despite her shock, Megan is glad she came along.

The new Ambulance 61 is dedicated to Leslie's memory.
Back at the Firehouse, an emotional Christopher Herrmann shows Megan the bed where Leslie used to sleep during shifts and shares some more memories of her, describing Leslie as the heartbeat of the house. Herrmann then takes Megan outside, where they attend a memorial ceremony for her sister. After an emotional speech by Gabriela, Wallace Boden hands Megan an American flag and orders a salute, after which the new ambulance rig is revealed to be dedicated to Leslie's memory.
Megan is further seen in the Chicago P.D. episode A Little Devil Complex.
