Mason Locke is an ex-convict originally from Colorado and a firefighter for the Chicago Fire Department. He was discovered by Christopher Herrmann during a fire at a party store. When he was incarcerated, he was trained to help put out wildfires. He was unable to get a job as a firefighter in the CFD since he has a felony record. Herrmann and Kidd were able to convince DDC Hill to help him out, in which he got a position for the St. Paul Fire Department. He later returned to Chicago and was given a position on Truck 81 at Firehouse 51. He later transferred out.
