Ambulance 61 (also called Ambo 61) is an advanced life support (ALS) ambulance assigned to Firehouse 51.
Overview[]
Ambulance 61 is a 2004 Ford / Medic Master Type I ambulance. Prior to being used on the show, the ambulance was in service as the real-life Ambulance 47, based out of Firehouse 108 at 4559 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Jefferson Park neighbourhood.[1][2]
In the Season 1 episode Merry Christmas, Etc., Ambulance 61 is badly damaged when it is struck from behind by a flatbed. Shay and Dawson are injured, with Shay suffering a serious head injury.
The windshield is replaced after Dawson hits a pedestrian in the Season 5 episode That Day.
The rig is damaged again in That Kind of Heat when it's pushed from an overpass by another vehicle. It is replaced by a new one, however, Severide ensures that the door with Shay's commemoration stays the exact same.

- Tara Little - Trainee; Quit after being put in a position to recant her false claims against Kelly Severide.

- Sylvie Brett - Transferred to Portland, Oregon after marrying Matthew Casey.
- Jared Lennox - Personally placed on 61 by Danya Robinson, later booted personally by Boden. Relocated to Ambulance 76 then fired by Robinson for a dangerous call.
