A Couple Hundred Degrees is the eleventh episode of the ninth season and the 190th overall episode of Chicago Fire.
Summary[]
A new recruit with ties to the CFD tests Severide’s patience. Violet receives a mysterious note that sends her and Brett on a hunt for the person who wrote it.
Plot[]
At Med, Violet and Brett talk with Adam about the situation before they see Ronnie's wife and the bakery owner show up. Seeing they are with the cops, the bakery owner wants to leave but Adam stops him and wants to interrogate him on his possible role in the attack on Ronnie. However, the bakery owner is proven innocent when he pleads and addresses Violet who realizes he was the one sent her the letter. He says that Ronnie's wife did it because she previously told him that her husband wouldn't be a problem in selling the deli. Despite the wife protesting, Violet tells Adam to test the muffin and coffee so they'll get answers, which is confirmed by there being poison in the coffee.
